HASTINGS, June 29. Tho sky was overcast and the attendance was largo tor the Hawke's Pay meeting. The course was in good order Results:—
"Woodlands Steeplechase: Merry Jack (10.11) 1, Union Jack (10.0) 2 Ozaronus (11.13) 3. Scratched: Kcw and Glutprino. Won by four lengths. Time, 4min 29sec. Whakatu Hurdles: Turehau (9.0^ 1 Mummer (10.13) 2, Mount Victoria <9.0') 3. Scratched: Kohinahina, Atuatora, Manaia Park, and Yarilla. Won by four lengths. Time. 3min ?3sec.
Hawke's Bay Hurdles: Sir Fisher qO.IV 1. Gladfal (11,1) 2, Master
Ladies' Bracelet: Midnight Star (11.2) 1, Flash Lady (11..4) % Sleight of Hand (12.2) 3. All started. Won by a neck. Time, 2min 54sec. "Heretaunga. Handicap: King Cliiara- (9.6) 1, Hyllus (9.2) 2, Lady Middleton (9.9) 3. Also started: Parisian Diamond, Marsa, Sea Lord, Otara, Oliiwia, Cherry Blossom, Toki, Antwerp, Undecided, Ardent, Settler, Black Ada, Despatch Carrier, Rio, Pall Mall, and Sunshade. Won by four lengths'. The totalisator receipts were £14,989. .
