Reserve Band playing in combination under tho baton of Conductor C. J. Forrest.

The bands' rendition included "Tlio Star Spangled Banner," "the Mar•fsoillaiije," the Russian Nf.tiotml A:ithf?n, and "Heroes of Gallipoli." The speakers voiced in enthusiastic $ernis the. popular appreciation of tlie

ever-memorable achievement of April 25th, 1915, and insisted that the mi'iitijvy failure of the Gallipoli campaign was far outweighed by the -moral gains which the Anzaes won for the Empire and the nation. The Mayor thanked tho peoplo of Marlborough for the splendid manner in which they had attended and participated in the commemoration of Anzae Day. It was a well-deserved tribute to the soldiers who had fought for them so nobly, and it was a credit to/themselves. The large gatherings in Market Place and the general enthusiasm had shown, too, that the people were determined to keep the anniversary on its due date. This was a feeling with which he had every sympathy. \
