Mr Prothera (Minister for Agriculture), speaking at Bedford, said that the price of oats had been fixed at 41s 3d per S&Sibs. The War Office was not taking any more farm laborers until tJie agriculture census analysis had been completed. One hundred thousand women were employed, on the land and a similar numoer was still wanted.
