Australian and N.Z. Cable Association (Received Oct. 18, 6 p.m.) LONDON, Oct. 18. In "the House of Commons Mr Barnes raised the question of foo<l prices. He favored the appointment of a Food Minister. The time would come when it might be nece:*sary to have food tickets. Th& Food Commission should have power to lix prices. Tiie high prices of bacon and. milk were a public danger. They wore due to manipulation and waste. Farmers h&d sometimes given milk to the pigs or had thrown it into the drains, in order to maintain prices. Mr George Lambert said that Britain was threatened with a serious shortage of home-grown supplies dinging the coming year, owing to the withdrawal of 30 per cant, of the lafcor. . '■■■■■
