. SYDNEY... July; 1. 'At the Sheep Show luncheon the Chief Secretary (Mr Black) said 'that a reliable estimate gave the/ present season's wool clip iat- 800,000 baks,compared with 900,000 for the Previous season. Tlio latter clip sold for £12,000,COO, but owing to thei higher prices it is estimated that the present plip will return £325,000 more. The president #of iho society sounded a -warning.' Tho Home coun.--trioß and tho Allies, owing to cripjpled buying poM-ers, were not likely to require so much wool after as before the war, and Australia would bo faced with tho problem of disposing of her surplus wool- He urged tho need for caution in adjusting trade alter the war. There was one patch of silver-lining. , Russia and Japan wore likely to buy more wool.
