AEROPLANE VISITS DUNKIRK*

The High Commissioner reports:—i LONDON, April 25. (4.10 p.m.) West of the Mcwse yesterday evening, after a violent Ijombardment,, the Germans- attacked at several points the Allies' new positions ab Morthomme. The first two attempts were completely checked. The enemy launched their lr.st attack accompanied by an intense employment of; liquid fire. This was stopped by our curtain and infantry fire, and the Germans were compelled to retire to their lines with important losses. Intense artilhry activity is reported in the vegion of Avocourt., During the night the enemy attempted, but without result, to Lake* our advanced po.st nt tho redoubt of Avocourt. '
