A remarkable scene was witnessed in Trafalgar Square this afternoon. Thousands ot people av.aii.rd the procession of Lho Women's (Suffrage Federation, ivhose meeting was announced -is a. protest against the restriction, of popular liberties. The crowd, :*i!;>pecting that it was connected with the peace movement, rushed llie prooe.sison the moment it entered the Square, seized and tore up the banner and flags, hustled the processionists, and threw red and yellow ochie m the faces of £he speakers, and then bags r,f flour. The crowd hastily retreated, and the cvowd, led.by Australian soldiers, sang the National Anthem.
