GERMAN OFFENSIVE HURLED BACK.
ENEMY RETREAT BEATEN.
(Received April 11. 9.45 a.m.) PARIS, April 10.T/he Petit Porisien states that the Germans' hurled at- least a division into the fray between the Avocour'o cross-roads and south of Bethincourt, their objective being Hili 304. They advanced hi column of companies, not lieedino- ihe enormous losses, till within 100 yards of our lines, where they were completely mown down. They returned "to the attack thrice, then retreated, beaten.
