A REMARKABLE CASE.
MAN WITH A BULLET IN HIS
HEAD
AUCKLAND, April 10
One of the most remarkable cases on the Turakina is that of LancuGorpl. Kennedy, of Dunedin. A bullot shattered his temple, traversed the length of his head and remains lodged in the base of his skull. He was unconscious for 'two weeks. He had the personal attention of Sir Victor Hor.sley, the eminent surgeon, who described it as one of the masi> remarkable cases that had come under his notice. Kennedy suffers occasional headaches. Otherwise there are no apparent ill-effects. Captain Comvay brings a beautiful silk Union Jack and silver shield, presented to New Zealanders who participated in the Gallipoli fighting. Ihey bear the inscription: "To New Zealand hero.es of Gallipoli from the women of England." They were presented at Paddington station by Lady Smith-Dorrien. The returned invalids were publicly welcomed this morning by the Mayor and the Hon. Mr flyers.
