Griffiths Bros., Ltd., report a record day of sales on Saturday ,last lie?ore lar^e attendances on each occasion. In "the morning at the Wynen Street yards they offered several lines <?f cattle ivt.'d dairy cows. Competition nvir; fairly keen throughout, and for jr.aod lines excellent prices .were raised. The whole of the catalogue of cattle was disposed of. Horses were di.H of sale. Prices ruled as follows:-— Hileh cows, duo * early, £9 to £8; 10- -onths cattle, m.s,, £4 lls, £4, to £3 12s; Jersey steers £2 16s to £2 7s: calves 26s to 2.15.

Prominent amongst other lines ! sold, potatoes realised 17s; wheat 17s 6d to 17s; barley seconds 16s; pig \ meal 13s; oats ,15s 6d. , Apples were t plentiful and dull of sale at from 5s to \ 4s; tf'matoe.s 3s Gd to 3s; pears 3s; i iquincos 2s 6d.
