ALL-DAY BLAZE ON BOARD TPIE

PEEL CASTLE,

LONDON, Feb. 7. | The Admiralty issued the following yesterday:— Fire broke out this morning on board H.M. boarding steamer Peel Castle in the Straits of Dover. Tugs from Dover and other craft assisf)ed in fighting the fire; no loss of < life took place. The Daily Express Dover correspondent telegraphs:— The fire on board the Peel Castle raged for .several hours, and it. was not until late in the day, when the vessel had been towed near the shore, that the outbreak was under control.

A number oi rockets on board the ship went off one by one, and the people on shore saw. a magnificent firework display.
