WEEKLY SALE.
Griffiths Bros., Ltd., report oil their weekly sale held on Saturday as follows:—There was a good attendance, and a fair catalog:ae submitted. Pigs made,a good entry, a. splendid iine being 'offered. Prices were good, and a clearance' was made. Yo.tmg poultry sold fairly well, the penning being small. Fruit of all descriptions came forward in large quantities, peaches being in excellent demand. Vegetables of all kinds were plentiful, and the demand good. We quote prices as follows:—Pigs: Porkers, 35s 6d, 265, 22s 6d, to 20s; weaners, 8s 6d. Poultry: Young cockerels, *2s 9d p^v pair. Peaches brought from 4s 6d to 3s per halfdump. Tomatoes, 3s 6cl, 3s, to 2s. Apples, ss, 4s 6d. Pears, 3s 6d to 3s per case. Prominent among lines sold, second-hand pianos £40 to £15. Saddles, £2 los; bridles, 13s Cd to 12s 6d. Wheat, 20s to 18s; rice meal, 17s; bran, 13s 9d; barley seconds, 18s to 15s. The firm's next sale will be held at the residence of Mr G. Siddels, South Street, when the whole of his household furniture and! effects will be put to the hammer. On Thursday at Seddon they will offer the furniture and effects of Mr R. Ashtoii, both.sales commencing at 1.30 p.m.
