PRISONERS IN TURKEY
HOW TO COMMUNICATE
A cablegram of importance has been received,by the Government from the High Commissioner relative to ■communications with prisoners of war in Turkey:— "Directions for communicating with prisoners of war in Turkey," says the High Commissioner, "are that letters, post-cards, and parcels should be addressed with the rank,; initials,- and name of the regiment of British prisoner of war, to the Central Post Office, Constantinople. "Letters must not exceed two sides of sheet notepap'er, and contain private and family news only. "Parcels should be very carefully packed and addressed in two places"; name and address of sender should be marked outside. Cannot enclose letters in parcels. Foodstuffs ofs a perishable nature, newspapers, or newspaper cuttings not allowed. Remittances can be sent through the Prisoner of WaiHelp Committee, Southampton Street. Strand, London." The High Commissioner states that ho has sent further derails by post.
