TUA MARINA RIVER BOARD

The monthly meeting of the Tna Marina River Board was held last night, there being present: Messrs W. Smith (chairman), G. Botham, W. Broughan, Jas. Barnett, and J. Irvin;

The tender of F. Neal was. accepted for about 18 chains of banking on the •western side at 22s per chain. It was left in the hands of Messrs Barnett and Irvin to attend; to culverts on the western side damaged by the recent flood. The secretary stated that the book?, of rhe Board bad been .audited and the balance-sheet certified to by the Auditor-General.

The proposal that the Spring Greek v Piikaka, and Tua Marina Rivef Boards take over the Peninsula pws--perty was discussed at some length. The'suggestion that the threei?tsbiards take the following proportions. Spring Greek River Board half and Pukaka and' Tua Marina a quartoseach, was, in view, of the. ratable value of each Board, considered too much for this Board. A further meeting of the Boards concerned; in convened for Monday next.
