WELLINGTON, Nov. 30. Hie Minister for Defence, says that llic recruiting for the infantry, of. tRe 1 lth Reinforcements is 600 short, and is catisinp, some- anxiety. "I have,' he said, "telegraphed to the Mayors of Auckland, Christchurcli. and Dunedin telling them of this, and asking them to do what they canto make, up the deficiency, also asking them to put themselves in touch with the officers, commanding the districts and to assist in every way they can."
