HOTEL HOURS.

EARLY-CLOSING MOVEMENT.

NEW SOUTH WALES LEGISLA-

TION

(Press Association.]

SYDNEY, Oct. 21. In the Assembly Mr Hall gave notice of a. Bill restricting hotel hours from eight in the morning till ten at night. Previously the hours were six to eleven. It also provides that, instead of• the public being allowed to purchase liquor for six hours on Good Friday and Christmas Day to.consume off the- premises, the timo limit be four hours on these days and consumption on tho premises. There is much press and public criticism of the Government's ignoring the Assembly's vote in favor of nine o'clock closing, and the futility of shortening the night drinking hours only.
