Letters, wee fre«Hiently received up till the time when the New Zeaianders went to Gallipoli. Then weary weeks and months passed, with never a word from the solJier sen. The mother could get no r.evvs of him through official channels, and hhc. has for pome time been in a state of despair. Then, this week a friend approached her -vilh the joyful intelligence that her so?i figored amongst groups of wounJed men vnese pictures were being shown at a i?uf-en .Street continuous picture theatre. For three days the mother has «pent long lours in the theatre, waiting for the film to come round again, :n order that she may feast here eyes on tho sight of the missing boy. He has evidently been badly battered, for tvhen the picture was taken he was still swathed in bandages—but he was there, and n'ive, nnd that to the mother is precious news indeed. -The picture finished its run m due couise, but the manager kindly cut the film, taking cut that ixirtion which ccnveyed the pit-ture so^dear to the mother's heart, and this has been presented to her
