(Received Aug. 31, noon). ROMJ3. Aug. 30. The Austrians are in full jetreat at two points, blowing up bridges and wiaducts in Val Sugana and retreating for safety to the nearest Trent •defences. The .second point of retreat is in the upper Jsonzo1, where the Alpini are righting for an inipcrtant summit.

The Italians are menacing the entire line of defences on the northern Isorzo. and the Austrians are precariously placed at Tarvis, Tolmino, and Goi-ijsia.
