Mr Itearce, Minister for. Defence, in a. statement regarding the work of the Federal Munitions Commattee, .says that an efficient anti-gas1 apparatus has been invented by a scientist at the Melbourne University, where 10,----000 are being manufactured. Specifications and samples Itave boon rent to England. The Queensland Committee i.s investigating the production of a. khaki dye for local wools.
Committees are also investigating the possibility of the manufacture of picric acid, trotyl, mid toluene.
