(Received Jan. 12, 7.15 p.m.) DUNKIRK, Jan. 12. After the Germans had dropped the bombs into Dunkirk two Belgian airmen attacked seven German aero-
planes. It was a thrilling encounter. The Belgians rose 7000 feet and outmanoeuvred the enemy, using mitrailleuses against them. The battle lasted for 45 minutes.
Five Germans fled, and the others z\ until the final phases were fought at 9000 feet. Suddenly one of tho Germans crashed to earth, and the aviator-was killed. The seventh fled towards Calais, where he dropped bombs without doing any damage. The aircraft guns drove him off.
