EXPEDITIONARY FORCES AND THE BALLOT.

WELLINGTON, Dec. 8. The gazetted list of candidates published for the purpofee.of defining the votes cast by "members of the Expeditionary Forces shows that the Government has a candidate for every electorate, having adopted Mr Richardson, the well-known Prohibitionist, for' Auckland Central.

In the Grey Lynn, Eden, Lyttelton, and Grey,electorates the Opposi-, tion has no candidate. In Wanganui the Opposition adopted"Mr Veitch, Wellington: South Mr Hindmarsh, Wellington Siiburbs Mr -Moore, Wellington East Mr McLaren, and Otaki Mr Robertson'; All are acknowledged representatives of Labor.

In Grey Lynn Labor selected Mr Fowlds, Mr Payne being left out by both parties. Where Labor has no candidate it has adopted the Opposition nominee.
