SYDNEY, Dec. 7. The Government has declined the offer of two of Captain Cook's letters •descriptive of his first and second voyages to the South Seas. The price wanted i 3 £1030. The offering dealer recently paid £550, for the letters. Mr Kidman, the "Cattle King," estimates that, following a bad year, Australia is on the eve of several bumper seasons.
