SOCKBURN, Nov. 14. There was bright arid cool weather for the third day of the C.J.C. meeting. There was a fair attendance, ard the going was good. Results:— Port Cooper Hurdles; Corrie 1, Daylight Bill 2, Kilmeny 3. Scratched : Ngatiruanui, Parable, and Combination. At the second fence Beacon, Otaitara, and The Pole fell. Kingsway led into the straight, where Corrie took charge and won by ten lengths,'Kilmeny three lengths away. Time, 3min. 17 2-ssec. Cressy Welter: Pavlova 1, Lady Alicia 2, Reval 3. Scratched: Sauci, Carolus, and Medallist. Reval was in front when they reached the straight proper, but in the race down the straight Pavlova and. -Lady Alicia drew level, and Pavlova Won by a length from Lady Alicia, who beat Reval by half a length, Ardent fourth. Time, Imin. 13 3-ssec. Seymour Handicap: St. Elmn 1, Wharfinger 2, Silver Shields. All started. Wharfinger led round the turn, with St. Elmn in close attendance, and in the run home St. Elmn drew out and won by a. length, Silver Shield a length away, with Findhorn fourth. Time, Imin. 28 3-ssec.

Members' Handicap: Autumnus 1, Sauci 2, Bee 3. Scratched.: First Flight. Postillion and Chudic raced round the turn, well clear of Sauci and Chortle. Sajuci was in front at the distance, but "Autumnus, finishing resolutely, wore him down and won by a bare length, with Bee two lengths away next. Time, Imin. 26 2-ssec.

From a straggling start Bimefter and Ohakwana went out to the front, and ChakKvana, staying on well, won by a length, Downham beating Bimeter hy ; ~] a length and a-half. Indigo • was prominent at the start, but j Merry Roe and Fabrikoff took up the j running, and at the six furlongs post! Reputation took charge, and after an ' interesting finish won by a head from First Flight, with Warstep six lengths away.
