Leading Moslem religious authorities have issued a proclamation urging Egyptians to maintain a peaceful attitude and shun intrigues.
The chief reJigious slieikhs in the Soudan spontaneously expressed loyalty to the Government and paid a tribute ito the beneficent British rule. They dissociate themselves from Turkey.'s actions, which have alienated the sympathies of the Mohammedan world.
