WEEKLY SALE
Griffiths and Son report having held their weekly sale on Saturday before a large attendance. A very large catalogue . was offered, and nearly ever line was cleared under the hammer. Pigs again showed,, a firm upward tendency, and were keenly sought after. Poultry was in great demand, but the supply was snort. Prices ruled as follows: Pigs, weaners 18s, 17s, 16s, to 14s; poultry, laying fow-s 6s 3d, 4s 9d, 4s 3d, to 3s 6d, all at per pair; wheat 16s 6d, barley Bs, potatoes 6s 6d, swedes ss, onions 13s •3d, all at per sack;, apples, 4s to 5s per case. Among other lines sold, a rick cover realised £10, gun £3, bicycle £2 12s 6a, duchess chest £2 17s tid, bedstead £2 10s, -chairs 4s, tables 25s to 10s 6d. The boot sale was successful.
