OFFICERS' SALARIES REDUCED
BRISBANE, July 8. A report of the inquiry into the Surveyor-'GeneraTs presented to the Assembly, stated that disloyalty "was rampant in the department. .Flagrant breaches of regulations .enabled a coterie of officials to 'derive pecuniary benefit in addition to their .salaries, thus, securing aclvantiages denied, to officials wiho did not perform private work.
