WOOL, SKIN, AND HIDE SALES.

The Wellington wool, skin hide, ■and rtallow sales weao held on Friday. The N.Z.- Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report:—Our sales were well attended by -buyers, and bidding was brisk. Only bag lots of wool were offered, and for these full prices were obtained,. Sheepskins were eagerly competed for at the level of last sale's rates. , Hides and calfskins were in good 'demand at about late rates. Tallow is somewhat lower in price. The range o£ prices is as follows: —

Sheepskins : Halfbred 9d to 9|d per lb., fine crossbred Bfd to 9d, medium to coaree crossbred BJd to 9d, halfwools 6^d to B|d, dead 6Jd to 7|d., inferior 2d to Bid, lambs 6jd to BJd, dami>, etc., 4s Id to 9s 3d each, pelts 4* dto 6|d per 1^- ~ Hades: Ox S|d to 9£d pea- 1b.., ox 81d to 81d, ox B^'d to Sfd, cow B£d*to 82d, cow Bid to B£d, cow B^d, cut 7£d to -old, bull 5-Jd to <3jd, yearlings 7^d to 10d, calfskins l.Hd.to .Is, calfskins lOid to Is, calfskins 5d to 10-gd.
