One of the most disastrous fires for many years occurred at Port Almriri Hast night, resulting in the destruction of the New Zealand atoPPPB Ooni; panv's fine store and Williams and Kettle's store facing the breastwork. The estimated total damage is. ±,dU,----000, but exact details aienot available. Williams and Kettle's total loss reaches £16,500, and the New Zealand Shipping Company's loss is estimated to reach, £7000 and DalKety's £1000 by water. All the destroyed and damaged property was covered, every office being aftccted.
