BANKRUPTCY CASE WITHDRAWN.
AUCKLAND. May 11. In the case against Alfred Trevail Robinson, who was arrested in Sydney and brought to Auckland to answer a charge that lie committed a breach of the Bankruptcy Act, the Crown Prosecutor stated that the accountant employed by the Assignee, after going through bankrupt's books, reported that the charge could not be supported by evidence. When bankrupt left for Sydney the Official Assignee was perfectly justified in having him brought back, bujb when the estate was thoroughly investigated and an explanation obtained from bankrupt it was found that the business was not insolvent. It was -further ascertained that bankrupt was noifc the owner of the business, as another person, who had appeared as a creditor, really had a greater interest in the business thaia Robinson. He asked that the charge be withdrawn, which the Court agreed to.
