CANVASTOWN,
Notwithstanding the wet, wea>ther, the largest meeting for some - years was held iat Canvastown on Monday night. Mr C F. Hart was voted to the chair. Nine candidates went to the ballot, and the following were elected:—Messrs C F. Hart (chairman), A. Josephson,' C. L. Diamanti, T. Forrest, A. Rush, J. K. Hart, and S. Ball (secretary). ■ The committee will meet on the last Saturday in May. " ■' ' . DEEP CREEK. A good; number attended the meeting, and the election resulted as follows:—'Messrs H.
