[Press Association.] (Received April 19, 5.5 p m ) A U-11 NDO^ Api'i'l «• A Bill prohibiting vivisectional experiments on dogs was read a second time by 122 to 80. Sir F. S. Banbury, Sir A. Lockwood, and Mr H. F. Lynch championed the dog as man's friend, and Mr Lardner, Mr Rawlinson, Sir H. Craik, Sir P. Magnus, and Dr. Chappie opposed the Bill in the interests of science. . Mr J. Ellis Griffith emphatically denied, that there was any cruelty in the laboratories. He foreshadowed an amendment in . Committee l per- - nutting vivisection of dogs under a_nsesthotics if a certificate was produced as in a case.
