Mr C. 11. Murray left Blenheim last wock for Sydney on a visit to hisfather, who is dangerously ill. Mr A. G. Mumby, formerly of, Blenheim, has been elected president of -the New Zealand Poultry Association. The Rev. J. R. Dart, of Wakefield, will be in Blenheim next week in connection with the Home Mission Festival' which, is being held by theMarlborough Archdeaconry in the ,lown Hall. Mr C. Trounson, Collector of Customs for WairaU' returned to* Blenheim last night alter-a holiday spent iii Dunedin, being accompanied '. by his-wife and daughter^ Mr K. H. Smyth, who has been relieving Mr; Trounson, will, return to Wellington, to-morrow. i v ; A London cablegram; reports the death of Sir John Ramsden, who was sole landlord of the town of Hiidders- ■ field. He made over his estate to his son four years ago.
