Macready., whom the War Office senb to "Belfast to confer with CounX 'Gleichen, -visited Sir Edward Carson at Craigavon in uniform, intimating that he wished to pay his respeefes to the Unionist leader. General Richardson was pre^ sent. - The Manchester Guardian states that the War Office, with two exceptions, intended resigning but for Ir Aequith's statement declaring that there had been a misunderstanding.
