(Roceivedt March 25, 10.15 p.m.) LONDON, Marcb k ■ In the House of Lords, when ques- *!<»"» rftho documents included the War Office's verbal instructions to Sip Arthur Paget Lord Morley replied that it would be a dubious precedent to publish highly confidential instructions.
_ Mr- Asquith, similarly questioned m the House of Commons, replied that the documents obviously could not deal with matters which were oral.
..Tiu> Pres3 Association states that the tabhng of the documents .is awaited with the utmost interest and a. good, deal of anxiety on the part of -thel Government supporters. Ministers are threatened with a widespread revolt.of. the ramk and file if the rumors current regarding the nature of the document exculpating General Gou'gh prove correct. The seriousness of the position cannot be exaggerated.
It is unofficially stated that Liberals, Laborites, and Nationalists alike are unsparing in their condemnation of the Ministerial attitude. Liberal ' newspapers and lobbyists agree that the situation is critical.
it is rumored that Colonel Seely, at Monday's Cabinet meeting, offered to resign, but his offer was not accepted.
