COLONEL SEELY'S RESIGNATION
NOT ACCEPTED.
(Received March 26, 11.30 a.m.) LONDON, March 26. : Mr Churchill, in reply to Lord Beresford, said that a squadron was ordered to Lamlash to deal with possible serious disorders on Saturday night, but the precautionary movementt of the troops was carried out without, opposition; therefore he cancelled the movement of the Bhips. (Ministerial cheers). The admiral in command had asked' for field gang in order to exercise the men ashore if the'weather was bad. (Opposition laughter). Mr Balfbur formally moved the rejection of the Consolidajted Fund Bill. Mr Asquifch said that the coercion ot Ulster could never happen and never would happen if Ulster took advantage of the Government's offer. When Cabinet met to deal with txenoral Gough it authorised the Army Council (to supply him with a document explicitly setting out the army s duty, withbut giving an assurance of any sort. Afterwards Colonel heely, without the Cabinet's knowledge, added the paragraph giving the
