Mr Walter Thomas Mills, organiser f the Social Democratic party, writes 6 the Wellingfbon Post as follows :-^ , - 'This telegram ; of -Mr..Hiram,Hunter,. ■ he,.president "of 'the Social Demoratio party, has the cordial.approval f all his associates. There will be oine fifty electorates in which the Social Democrats will have no canditates. In all these districts they will ote for a second choice, having; no andidates of their own. It has.been ■ | he. expectation that they would give ' heir;, second choice votes to the .liberal candidates, not because of ifficial endorsement. That would not , ie given in any case. The expecta-' ion is based on* the general undertanding that Liberal candidates TOuld be more likely to endorse conideruble portions of our platform , . hari would ihe Reform candidates. j lowever, if the Liberal partychooses i io'foUow the bogus unions'organised j >y the Massey Government, with a )ogus Labor federation in politics, hen the Social Democrats are pledged n their constitution to oppose all candidates of any such bogus body, md in all the electorates throughout ;he whole Dominion. Wherever (the Social Democrats have 500 due-pay-ing members it will have candidates >f their own, as they did in Grey and n Lyttelton. Where they do not lave 500 members, the members of . she party will support that one of all Dther candidates who shall pledge .the largest support to our platform, but in no case will it countenance or support a Labor candidate unless selects ed by the 500 Social Democrats as above."
