DISPUTE WITH COMMISSIONER.

SOLUTION ARRIVED AT. [Press Association.] _ WELLINGTON, March 21. Ihe deadlock which occurred between the Public Service Commissioners and. the Post and Telegraph Association reached a solution to-day through the mediation of Mr Morris secretary of the Post Office Association. . The preamble to which the Commissioners took exception was altered to read—l hat the conference of post, and telegraph officers, after comparing theclassification list, is unable to reconcile the apparent differences in salaries, and, being of opinion that their responsibility is as high and the duties as arduous in their service as m other services, submits to the Commissioners the urgent necessity for giving the matter, further consideration. .This was accepted by the Commissioner and it was- arranged that the committee should meet the Commissioner again on Monday, and go through the remits of the conference, which have been held up since the deadlock occurred. The chairman of the Association expressed the committee's appreciation ot the- secretary's services in bringing: about the understanding. ;
