CRICKET.
Owing to Marshlands' inability to place a team in the field, the contest which was arranged to take place between Marshlands and Education. Department at Marshlands on Saturday did not eventuate. In the junioacup competition Renwick forfeited to Marshlands.
On Easter Monday a team representing the Marlboroiigh Wednesday Association will play a return match with' Karori at Wellington. The team will be as follows:—G. C. Whitmg, P. Silcoek, F. C. Ferry, E. Radd, W. Spifctal, W. G. Benning, T. O'Sullivan, R. Reid, P. Morris, A. Gledhill, and J. Payton. A team representing Shamrocks will visit Wellington and will play Marist Brothers on Easter Saturday.
The Wednesday competition having concluded in favor of Wairau Hockey Club, a match between Saturday and Wednesday players has been arranged for Wednesday next.
