FRENCH NOBLEMAN'S FATE
PARIS, Jan. 5. Penniless and starving, Viscount Marigny, scion of a well-known French. family, snatched a pocketbook from a woman in the street yesterday in, order, that he might be sent to prison, and thus" obtain food and shelter. This young nobleman's- life has been a tragic one. He was oiico .very wealthy, but his father was ruined some years ago ~-• 'by a bank failure. The viscount served in one of^ the Morroean campaigns, and was awarded-a medal for his services. He afterwards1 'returned to France, and spent his savings while endeavoring to find employment.
