INSULT TO INJURY.
Mr Wilkins was near the exploding point when liis neighbor met him on fhe street. "That man Tompkins," he burst out, "has more nerve than anyone I ever met!" "Why?" asked his neighbor curiously. "He came ■over to my house last evening and iorrowed my gun to kill a dog that kept him awake nights." "Well what of that?" "tThy," shouted Mr Wilkins, "it was my dog he killed."
