CHRISTCHURCH, Aug. 27. At the Addington live stock market f to-day there were fairly large entries 'of' stock, though the break in. the weather .prevented a number of consignments from coming forward. There ■?' was a fair attendance Fat cattle sold more freely, though there was no change in prices; store s'bx-ep were very firm, and store cattle sold well, also fat sheep. There was no- change in prices of pigs.. Store Sheep.—Four and sixrtooth ewes (exceptionally good) 265, good sound mouth ewes 19s 6d to 20s 6d, two. four, six. and eight-tooth 20s 6d, full and failing mouth, (good) 16s 6d, aged 12s Id to 15s1; two, four, and six-, tooth' wethers (very forward^ to 23s 4d. mediums 19s sd, two and fourtooth 20s Id, &ix-tooth 21s sd; ewe hoggets (good sorts) 18s to 18s lid, small ewes 15s 2d, mixed sexes (good) 16s 6d to 17s Id. others 15s to 15s 4d.

Fat Sheep.—Extra prime wethers to 33s 6d, prime 23s 6d to 31s, lighter 19s 9d to 23s- 7d; prime ewes. 20s 6d to 24s 9d, others 15s lid to 20s; Hoggets 16s 6d to 19s 6d; merino wethers 19s 4d to 22s Bd. -

Fat Cattle.—Steers £6 15s to £11 10s, extra-good to £21; heifers £0 17s 6d to £9 ss, extra to £14.10s; cows £5 17s 6d to £11. . . ♦ Store Cattle.—Yearlings 445, fifteen to eighteen months £3 18s to £4, two-year steers £4 10s to £4 12s 6d, two-year heifers £4.10s to £4 17s 6d, three-year steers £6 5s to £8 8s 6d, three-year heifers £5 5s to £5 17s 6d, and dry cows 80s &o £4 15s. Dairy cows made £4 to £11 2s 6d.

Fat Pigs.—Choppers £2 15s to, £6 13s 6d;' heavy baconers 62s 6d to £3 12s 6d, lighter £2 12s 6d to £3, extra heavy animals to £4-^these prices being equivalent to 6d per lb. Heavy porkers 46s to oOs, lighter 40s to 455, equal to 6£d.to 6£d per lb. Store. Pigs.—Best sorts 35s to 40s, medium 26s to 30s, and small pigs 3756 dto 255.' Weaners sold freely," very small pigs making 13s 6d, whilst extra good sorts brought up to 21s.
