RIFLE SHOOTING.

FRIENDLY MATCH

On Saturday afternoon the Tua Marina and Blenheim Defence Rifle Clubs fired a friendly match on the Vernon range. The former, shooting very evenly, won a very interesting and enjoyable match by the small margin of 6 points. T. Payne, of the Blenheim team, put'on the best score —32 at 600 yds and 5555554-34 at 600 -66; that ever-consistent shot, T. Davies, of the Tua Marina team, running him very close with 5554555-34 at 500 yds and 31 at 600yds—65. B. Laking also got within 1 of the possible at 500 yds. The conditions were 9 men a-side, 7 shots with optional sighter at 500 and 600 yds. Following are the scores :
