MR HERTZGG'S BITTERNESS
[PRESS ASSOCIATION.] (Received April 30,11.35 p.m.) CAPETOWN, April 30.
Mr Cresswell's motion of no confidence in the Government was rejected by 68 to 41. Mr Hertzog bitterly accused ,Mr Botha of duplicity and misrepresentation of the facts, and of subverting and abandoning his party. _ Mr Botha made a dignified, impassioned, and exhaustive reply. He declined to put the country to the expense and inconvenience of a General Election merely because Mr Hertzog desired to re-enter office.
