RETREAT FROM MONASTIR.
HONORING A BRAVE ENEMY.
BELGRADE, Nov. 23. Retreating -from Monastir, the AUr^? m»de a stand near Lesim, but the cavalry routed them and captured ten guns. The wounded from Monastir describe the battle as the severest of the war. Owing to the swampy ground the Servian artillery was unable to get into action in the early part of the" engagement." Fethy Pasha, commanding at Monastir, was killed prior to its capture. The Servians identified the_ body and buried it with full military honors.
The Servians have occupied Kesna, westward of Monastir.
