THE GREAT JANSEN.
"A Perfect Illusionist" was the heading that appeared in a Sydney paper during Mr Jariseri's recent visit to that city. The paper states: "All that was said of him inthe press prior to his opening has "heen more than justified. He is a cleverjfgentlemanly performer, who uses Tbut little 'gag,' trusting to his -tricks to interest his audience., He is undoubtedly the prince of wonder-makers, and wherever he goes in Australasia, those who revel in ■ masterful illusions should not fail to get on his track." Mr Jansen will positively appear in His Majesty's Theatre, Blenheim, ■ on Monday and Tuesday, November 11 and 12, and will bring with, him all the latest conceptions of" a "master--magician's brain, together with'a complete company of American vaudeville artists, including Miss 'Edna w Herf ("the woman who set the world talking.") Miss Herr is supposed to pos- ! sess some supernatural power, which she brings into evidence when answering correctly the most difficult arid perplexing .of questions. Also supporting Mr Jansen is Mr Les. A. Bates, one of # the cleverest of Americans comedians. Miss Ada Montague, "La Petite," is a, charming Continental 'danseuse. The box plan opens at Parker's on Friday morning, where seats may be reserved without any extra charge. Country residents may have their seats reserved by mailing four shillings to Parker's." Bay sales are also available at Parker's. ■ On Monday the T>erformarice will not commence till 8.30 p.m. - '"■"'■■■'
