The Appeal Court to-day at Wellington was concerned with the liearing of the reserved Crown, case of Rex v. Tier. Prisoner was sentenced to five years' hard labor and declared an habitual criminal at the last sessions. The question now before the Court is whether his previous convictions were sufficient to entitle the judge to declare him an habitual criminal.
