MEMORIAL TO LATE KING
The Advisory Committee of the Fund for providing a Memorial of King Edvvarfl in London have unanimously expressed their approval of the scheme drawn up by Mr Bertram Mackennal, the Australian sculptor, and Mr Edwin Lutyen, the architect, for a, ?iiemorial in bronze and stone of his late Majesty to be erected ai the Piccadilly end of the Broad Walk, in tho Green Park. A complete model wich plan is to be submitted within three months. Sir Veaey Strong Avas requested by the committee to see the chairman of the London County Council and ascertain to what extent the council would be prepared to co-operate with the corpora lion and the committee ia dedicating the Shadwcll Market sit© as a Tjv.blic garden and play-ground for the inhabitants of .East London.
