"There's many a slip 'twixt the cup and the lip." But not often when the cup contains Marten s Brandy. A man is very cdreful with liquor like that. AVOID OPERATIONS. Extract from London Medical Magazine for May, 1910: —"These ferments, obtained from the papaw, are made up in the form of an ointment and gargle, and. are recommended as an application to enlarged glandular tissues, tumors, and ulcerations. The present preparation seems to combine the most active ferments of the plant in a successful manner. ] Its activity was demonstrated by several cases of hypertrophy of the turbinal bodies, and in cases of enlarged tonsils. .Atfter three or four weeks' application there was very, very marked improvement. There ' can be no doubt that the. preparation lis unusually effective, and _ should prove very serviceable, obviating the ! necessity for operative procedures in i many esses. Such operative proceIdures are often adopted much toe hastily. The present ferments ure well deserving of a trial, and in many cases we hove no doubt the result wili be satisfactory." Papaw Ointment Is 6d (for ulcers, tumors, goitre, and poisoned wounds); Papaw Papayate, 2s 8d (for nasal catarrh); Papnw Tonic, 2s 6d; Papaw Pile Cure, 2s 6d. Agent: H L.
