AMUSEMENTS.

BUSHED BY SIX AFRICAN LIONS.

Lovers of sensational pictures are well catered for in the new programme to be submitted! by the British Picture Company at th© Town Hall on Wednesday next, in a film entitled "Back to the Primitive,' which oonteins a thrilling African story. There are night scenes in the African forest thrilling enough to make the hair stand on end. One catches the outline of a hut bunt high on polesl, to which a girl climbs by^a ladder. Beneath her is her male companion, stretched upon the ground asleep. Heirs seen to awake, peer into th© dark shadows of the forest, and hurriedly get up and- attempt to climb to the hut. The girl reaches down and tries to assist him. He fails, and rushes .".way into the darkness. The next moment six enormous lions rush up. They follow the fugitive, *and when they return it is seen that they have found their prey. For a realistic thrilling scene the portion depicting the girl and her other male companion chased by two lions is most sejisational. The man has only a bow and arrows. The beasts press them bard, and he occasionally turns* and aims a shaft at them. At length ho and the girl are spent. He bravely turns upon them, and a fierce' fight between man. and beast is seen. Another vivid pictorial representation is entitled "Her' Child's Honor," a drama strong in plot, of deep love interest, and thrilling uction. The remainder of the programme is nuadie up of' pictiiiresy perhaps not so thrilling^ but equally as.interesting, and coyering a wide ground. Next Wednesday will find' the spacious hall, well filled. A box plan has been opened at Holoroft's music warehouse.
