Bishop Wilson, of Melanesia, has made official representations to Mr Hughes as to the unsatisfactory conditions arising from the dual control of the New Hebrides, and requested the Commonwealth to ap-proach-the Imperial authorities^ with, a view to the appointment of Native protectors. It was arranged that tho Bishop put his case in writing.
